I have my original master cylinder, but it is a rusted mass of metal. Does anyone know of a company that can strip and rebuild the part for me so I can maintain originality.
The rust is fairly heavy, but I have not thoroughly examined the inards. It's been sitting in a carton in my garage since I bought the car. The M.C was replaced a few years ago, but the part is not original. The car runs well so I have plenty of time.
I think you want "White Post restorations" they sleeve them and make them like new. Unfortunately i don`t know where to find them but someone at the resto page might or at the NCRS site for sure. ...redvetracr
Another vote for White Post in Virginia. Great jobs, great service, nice people. Ask for Billy when you call. He's done several master cylinders and wheel cylinders for me. He also does just about all the "stuff" for the Corvette resto guys in the MD,VA, WVA area. Quick turnaround too. Chuck
I received a reasonable quotation from White Post. Now I am trying to confirm that the rusted Master Cylinder is original and not just an earlier replacement.
The casting number is correct, but I cannot locate the date code.
