"81 cruise control problem

Default "81 cruise control problem
Thie '81 has a re-man. cruise tranducer, full 12v on demand for both wires, a good clean ground. The transducer is pulling the voltage down when commanded, and good sound vacume and hoses. Will not engage. Bad transducer? We have no other experiance with this system. Any advise would be appreciated. JD

cruise control is like a black art but the Haynes manual breaks the test proceedures down vert well for the shade tree guy
