Alternator Pulley diameter
Would a smaller or larger alternator pulley, turn the alternator more or less one way or the other?
I'm wondering if my power drop is because the march perormance pulley is larger than the pulley that the powermaster comes with.

All about ratios- a smaller pulley will turn the alternator faster, bigger is slower. You can find a calculator to work out the ratio from the diameter of each pulley too.

I installed the March pulley system on my 79 L-82. I changed the alternator pulley back to the smaller pulley I had because my alternator wasn't charging well at idle. After changing back to the smaller pulley my charging problem was corrected.
