Default Motor Install... 2 questions

Hi, i have my new crate motor in the car. i am now starting to put on some of the "stuff". My first problem is that none of the senders fit the new crate motor. The fan switch threaded hole in the block was too big, I used a bushing. now the sender that goes just above the oil filter is too large, the hole in the block is smaller then the threaded part that screws into the block. I checked and its the correct part, any ideas?
Second question: there is a sender that goes between the 2 front spark plugs, well I had a tag on all my wires that I took off everything, but the ink FADED and I can't read anything. When I put the wires back on my alternator there is a green wire that looks like it belongs to that sender, but not sure. This is on my 1981, could someone with an 81 check to see if the wire for that sender comes out of the alt harness? thanks a million.

The temp gauge is usaully the green wire in front, by the fire wall it is the tac pick up wire to the distributor.
Don't be afraid to make up adapters or fittings, it's just apart of the process

Look at AutoMeter store ( for instance ), they sell most of fittings and adapters for gauges, like this one :

There are many threads and diameters available...
