Wiper Door ?/ old vibration
All of a sudden now, When i start the vette in the mornings, or after it has sat for quite a while the wiper door opens and then shuts. The wiper switch is off and the pull switches under the colum are pushed in, whats up ? And ooooh by the way in and older thread i had menchined that i had a stranged vibration and a muffeled sound. I had pryed on that ------ driveshaft front and rear time and time again and nuthing. When i was abought to give up i pryed on the front shaft once again and i mean hard and pop it moved quite a bit, in two joint cups the bearings were gone and the back two were gone. The drive line must of been in a bind. Guess what i have a new vette what a diffrence a joint makes, if i decide to sell her now price just went up 5k yep. I know this sounds weard its really my second corvette first was a 62 327 nice car but stupid kid driving it sold it for a pickup truck oooooh shoot me now. Well this 69 daytona wellow 350/350 has to be the best driving vette ever and rides very smooth, really it does. small sway bar in front none in rear 7 leaf spring in rear on four gabrial gas adj shocks. Well thanks for the ear, an what abought that wiper door. I cant stop smilling when i drive around town and people point and stare and do thumb up yyeeesss.

Sometimes the vacuum check valve will die on you. This may allow things like the head lights and the wiper door to come up like that. You might want to give that a look.
Sure does make it nice when folks appreciate the hard work you put into these old cars. Everyone enjoys a thumbs up. Great find on the u-joints. Hopefully you will get the chance to enjoy the car some today.
