AC hookup with headders

have a 76 with blackjack headders, the AC compressor uses a bracket that bolts up to the old rams horn manifolds. any one overcome this?

Yes, you just grind the bracket until it clears the header and you need to fab up some spacers as well.

yes, i did the same thing as scott. i think i got my spacers from a regular hardware store. i think they call them bushings. ?? been a while since i changed it.

I have the same situation. I posted a similar question, but I have to move the compressor up about 1 inch to clear my tubes...they are the shorty block hugger headers. I will have to fab something up as long as I have underhood clearance to go up.

If you have similar to the other guys that posted, they look like they did a real nice job adapting that stock bracket.
