Default 1976 headlight actuator

Reading the GM service man. and it said to raise the headlight partially so i can remove the long spring on either side of the pivot link pin then remove the actuator. So my question is how do i raise headlight partially.

thank's

Any time I have to remove the actuator, I reach up from underneath and push up on the light assembly on the pivot point where the springs are attached. Never had a problem doing them with the lights all the way up.

Yeah all the way up is fine too. I just did mine. Do yourself a favor and dont try to take the actuator out from the grill, youll be there all day. Do it from the top very very carefully.
