77 Power Window Relay Trouble
Well, I troubleshot my power window problem to the relay under the center console (which isn't in the Haynes schematic btw). I disassembled the relay, cleaned the contacts, bent the upper conductor back down slightly, and unwound the coil wire one turn and re-soldered it to the cover. I am getting approx. 50 ohms through the coil. This seems a little low to me, but I do a lot of 24V work. I didn't think to check resistance before I took it apart. It's the first relay I've taken apart that grounded the coil to the case, so I don't know if it was burned off or I broke it off. Does anyone know what the resistance across the coil should be?
Edit: The relay works great. I don't know if it was a bad connection or if the coil wire burned off the case, but 50 ohms works!
