Default New Project time.....

Picked this stuff up last year and I guess it's time to start installing it. Just about every piece of plastic in my car is chipped or cracked. I bought all this from Uptmors in Waco thinking it would just clean up and install. I tried to wash some in the little ladies dishwasher and that was a mistake. :cry Most of the dye came off. Oh well at least it will be painted fresh now.

When I did this, I never even thought to clean the stuff in the dishwasher. That's a great idea. Next time. :yesnod:

Budman,
If I get anywhere near inside the house with some dirty corvette stuff I would be in a heap of trouble, let alone put it in the dishwasher. Either she is very cool and loves the Vette or she didnt know you did it. My bet is that she loves the Vette ;)
Early on when I was beginning my resto on my 74 I stored my T-Arms in the basement so they would not get damaged in the garage (by all the flying tools).
Couple of days later the little lady says to me: " The basement smells like engine stuff ,get it out"
My response: "Thats impossible sweetheart, it cant possibly smell like engine because there is only suspension parts down there"
She didnt see the humor.
Also she still hasnt found the T-Tops stored under the Guest Bed! Cant wait till that happens.

I used the wife diswasher for some parts, luckily she hasn't noticed yet, she keeps complaining about some heavy grease and I just say.....Those darn Frying Pans :D! I think I need to put in a dishwasher in a future dream garage some day, they come in handy.

The best way to get 'her' on your side is to buy her a 'Vette of her own. You'd be amazed at how the understanding level of your automotive needs changes once she realizes that sometimes you're working on 'her' car!

Worked for me!

She's pretty cool, she helped clean all the engine bay out last year and she wrappped al the wiring. You know it a vette family when she washes it with the dishes also. I would advise putting oily parts in there. That would be a huge mess.
