Default Power brake conversion

I have a 1968 with power steering and manual brakes. I want to convert to power assit brakes. Has anyone used this JEGS conversion kit?

Can't say about the JEGS kit. If you do not have the '68 assembly instruction manual (AIM) buy a copy and take a look at the factory installation of the PB option.

There is also a page in the AIM concerning the various holes which have to be drilled/cut in the cowl. Power brakes requires a different size hole than manual brakes.

Mike,
If you only want to know about the JEGS kit, I can't help you (you might want to include "JEGS" in the subject line if that's what you're interested in).

You can get a Tuff Stuff booster and master cylinder for about $25 less. I guess the JEGS kit comes with the vacuum hose and fitting and maybe a pushrod for the extra money.

Summit has the Tuff Stuff parts (also available in chrome) and their page gives you a bit more information:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFF-2129NB/

I think it's the same amount of work with either one and that work is covered in the other "Power Brake Conversion" thread.

Sorry if this doesn't answer your question -- maybe someone out there has used the kit and will eventually respond.
