Default Torque Converter Replacement
Is replacing the torque converter a big deal? I just replaced the water pump in my 77 and replaced all the belts. Now the care will not shift unless I let up on the gas then accelerate. Should I try replacing the filter and transmission fluid first to see if this solves the issue.

I'm a bit challenged when it comes to working on cars. Is this replacement an easy thing to do?

Start by making sure the vacuum line is connected to the modulator valve.

where do I find this vacuum line and modulator valve? I have very limited experience working on cars.
