I too purchased the hedmans due to their thick flanges and ball socket type collector. They were very poor fitting and I SHOULD have sent them back. Instead I made them work by denting one of the tubes.
Flowtech is apart of holley so they're pretty much like hooker headers but cheaper. And hooker headers, from my personal experience, don't fit correctly. Also, if you look on ecklers, they sell hedman not hooker headers probably because hedmans are the most popular for vettes.
OK, various opinions, mostly regarding Hedman or Hooker. So, for an application similar to the original poster here but for a 350 w/ AC, what are your recomendations for a higher end ($$) header setup?
Oh, forgot to mention opinion given on Flowtech.

Reason: addition
I had to dimple one tube slightly to get the hedmans to fit my small block AC car perfectly. On the other hand Ive helped friends try and install hookers on all sorts of cars and to date not a single header has installed without severe modification.
The worst case was having to dimple 3 tubes on a big block nova, needed to clear the engine block no less. This doesnt include the other half dozen dents we needed on those headers to get them in.
