Happy 5th of July everyone! As some of you know my 1977 project came with the suspension totally disassembled. I puzzled over the installation of the front caliper mounts and steering arms today. I looked in my AIM (apparently the spindles got to the line as subassemblies only), my GM service and chassis manuals, even Haines... no good photos or descriptions found.
Does anyone have a good exploded view, or detailed photos of exactly what components go in which order? Thanks in advance!
Yes, those are both quite excellent, and thank you for taking the time to share! Are there any spacers involved any where in the assembly? I have to chase down some new bolts as I only got one of each length with the car. You guys rock!

No spacers needed. I would check with one of the vendors like Zip for the bolts. The bolts are 2 different lengths. They are all fine thread and use the oval-shaped self-locking nuts. Some hardware stores may carry the nuts, but I haven't seen the big bolt that holds the backing plate onto the spindle in any hardware store.
This is one assembley that you don't want coming apart as you are driving down the road!
Definitely don't want these coming loose. Another member has offered a complete set of the correct stuff; I'm about to accept his offer. Thanks again to all!
