Default Slight "sputter"

I just put a new holley 670 on my 73 w/350 190hp 4spd.I put new points, cap, rotor, wires.I adjusted points with a dwell and set initial timing with a timing light.I drove the car and it "sputtered" alot in 1st and 2nd around 1500rpm.I called holley and they told me adjust the floats which I did and the car ran 100% better but now when I slow down and take a turn and start to accelerate I have a slight "sputter"I have plenty of gas in the tank but just can't figure out why this is happening.I did notice when I was setting the timing and hooked up the distributer vacuum line there was no change in idle.could this be the problem or another one I should add to the list.thanks for any and all help.

Just throwing it out there from what I ended up doing, Try removing the vacuum line to distributor and plug the port at the carb and the distributor and see if it smooths out. That's what I did on my ride when it was sputtering.

There are several possible probs with the 670. Make sure the accelerator lever is on the cam not off of it.
Also, my 670 came with 65 & 68 jets which are a bit lean and will cause a stumble.
Put the 68 secondary in the primary and a 72 in the secondary.
I ended up with 72 & 80's in mine and it runs great.

You can. But, if that doesn't help it may be a jet problem. I also had to go through a series of jet sizes because it was running rich.
