Made my first kill today in my BB..The poor SAAB didnt stand a chance..O well ,he gave it a shot at the lights and reved his 2.3 L turbocharged engine.I just looked at him and i knew that 7.7 liters of american cast iron wouldn`t give him a chance...I just blew him like a bad habbit...Its kinda fun....I love my car...
What year is your car? Youll have plenty of opps to blow em away. Some C3's arent really that fast and they may know that. Its good to set the record straight when you can. oh i see...its a 73
Its a -73 with manuall tranny.M20...Its about 507 Hp and 650 Nm in torque..
Its a blast driving. The only problem is that its almost dead under 2500rpm beacause of the most nervous cam...
I toasted a C5 a few weeks ago, It's still kind of cold in Toronto just waiting for the Vettes to hit the road in the next few weeks, I will be on the hunt for a ZO6. I don't think the C5 will be much of a challenge.
Just wait until you blow away your first Porsche Turbo $100,000 over priced hunk of junk. Now, that too is F-U-N. There is nothing like the feeling of smoking an expensive German car and watching the expression on the faces of the idiots who drive them. They all seem to fall for the advertising of "farfignueven", "ultimate driving machine" etc. etc. You can then take pride in the fact that if and when your American Dream Machine ever needs repair, you won't be paying three or four times the price for parts and labor. However, if some guy pulls along side of you on a motorcycle....a fast motorcycle.....don't even bother to try because those things are truly unbeatable off the line. It won't even be close.....
"Every man's got to know his limitation" (Clint Eastwood...Dirty Harry)
About the motorcycles..I think i would have a great chance of beating my friends Ducati Monster, atleast in acceleration..For a while and then he will zoom by me like a bat out of hell..
A few week ago when I was still in Austin I was at a stop light with my brother and a Boxster was turning right onto the road we were traveling. He made the right on red just as the light turned green and I started to move. We get beside him and I heard him punch it so I punched it in first at around 3500rpm (that is where my ZZ4's 405 lb/ft of torque is located so I pulled away from him like he was a VW   . We came to another stop light that was red when we got there and he didn't even try again....wuss-boy. That is fun accelerating away from those high priced yuppie mobiles. Long live the American V8 :chevy :chevy :chevy

I love it when my cam is loping, and a ricer comes up and tells me. "Dude your missing out bad, you need a tune up!" I love it, I really love it when he finds out thats what a real racing engine is supposed to sound like! :D
I toasted a Audi TT this afternoon taking of by a trafficlight.......I think the poor guy driving that flattened Beetle is still sick of it. :D
THAT, my friend, is why I bought the Big Block...raw torque and horsepower. It's fun to see the expression on peoples' faces when they recognize the 454 emblem on the side. :yesnod:
Enjoy your toy!
Weasle
A fast motorcycle unbeatable, I don't subscribe to that principle in certain cases. The fastest bike out of the box right now is the Suzuki Hyabusa which runs low 10's in extremely capable hands. I think I have seen a testing pro nail off a 9.98. Where I come from there are several street legal 8, 9 and 10 second cars that would humble any street bike. I plan to do the same with my low 10 second 69 Vette and in progress mid 8 second Arias blown/injected 1931 Ford pro street truck.
Re: First real "kill" in my c3.. (corvette kid 427)
