rear only 5" backspace with 295/50/15 tire

how much extra room does L88 flares provide? You probably want a 12 or 13" wide rim.

i like how your rear tires look. where to buy those 15x10 rallies?
i was thinking to those just for racetrack , not street, so if they stick out of fenders is not a problem. i suppose that rally 15x10 should be the cheapest one the market, or am i wrong? I bought some 15x8 Minilites as standard wheels but 15x10 minilites are expensive just for some random race track day

Well, turtle, are those rear wheels 15x10's? ...and you might share what all you did for tire clearance with that 5" BS.

FYI, http://www.stocktonwheel.com/wheel_widening.htm

Rears are 15x10 5"bs and fronts are stock rallys. The 15x10s almost fit but just slightly interfere with the tie rod. A grinder on the tie rod could probably clearance it.

The e-brake brackets had to go. Most everybody knows about that. My 5 leaf steel spring was flat enough not to interfere with the tire. When i swapped to fiberglass i had to shorten the spring. Some people don't like doing that but mine hasn't split out yet. I remember using a hand sledge to slightly bang in the trailing arm to prevent it slightly kissing the tire. Oh and forget running a rear sway bar. It will definitely interfere.

Now if he's running big flares, he could easily go 15x10 or maybe 15x12 with 4" BS.

Thanks turtle. Agree moving the e-brake bracket and eliminating the rear bar (I don't run one anyway) are a given. So, no frame clearance issues, eh? I'm leaning towards staying old-school, but some of the section widths I'm looking at appear they could present a problem with the 5" BS. I forget, what brand/line tires are you on?
