My speedo started to bounce tonight, why?? At lower speeds up to 35 or so the needle bounces about 10 - 15 mph, sometimes more. I mean from 0- 20, boing, boing, boing. If I get up to 55=60 it steadys out. I checked the connection @ the speedo & at the trans & the cruise transducer, all good. Could it be the cruise control transducer gone bad??
Mine did that and then seized. Conventional wisdom is to pull the speedo cable and lube it. Personally I loosened it from the transducer, shot some wd40 into it and chucked it in a drill. Ran it in reverse, speedo started moving properly and it has been fine ever since. You might have other problems but frequently it is just a lube issue.

I'll give that a try as Im sure they have never been lubed since birth. I guess I've neglected to lube ole Girl where it counts, hope she doesnt hold it against me?
