stupid oil pan question
i was wondering what oil pans fit in an 81 c3? i have a roller short block from a 87 truck thats still has the stock oil pan, will it fit? if not what do you guys recommend?

Am I missing something, I thought there wasn't anything below the pan to interfere.
Therefore, all small-block pans fit.........right? Here's my 1981 pan pic.

OE roller blocks have 1 pc rms ... earlier blocks have 2 pc rms ... 1 pc - 2 pc pans do Not interchange ... fitment to block in area of rear main bearing caps is quite different. Regardless what is or ain't 'neath pan ... they don't interchange.

get a pan for '80 thru '85. camaro, firebird or vette. Pass on cheap chrome aftermarket pans.
