'81 nose emblem

'81 nose emblem
Hey,
A couple of weeks ago someone was mentioning that they couldn't find a nose emblem for their '81. Well, when my '80 was repainted years ago, the shop put an '81, vice '80 nose emblem on. I just replaced the "wrong" emblem with the right ('80) one. Does anyone need this '81 nose emblem? It's in good shape. Obviously the sticky tape on the back is gone now. Let me know.

That part is an enigma in GM history. I checked GM stock and repro suppliers in possible help of several earlier posts. It is not available anywhere. I do not know why this is so. This is just a comment for 1981 owners looking to a paint job.

No charge. Just knew that the '81 nose emblem is in short supply, and I have one I don't need. If you end up needing this after the paint job, let me know and I'll get it to you ASAP. If you end up not needing it, then I'll hold onto. I know there was a discussion on this forum a couple of weeks ago where a couple of guys were looking for a correct emblem. If you end up not needing one, then maybe I can help them out. Let me know when it's outta the booth.
