First problem with my 71 BB coupe please help.
Ok Power Steering only works when the RPM's are up and when I hit the gas hard the belt slips.
Belt is new and tight so I think the pump is locking up. Is this a pump issue of could it be something else? Can replace the pump easily enough

You said the belt was new. Are you double dog sure the belt is correct? An incorrect belt that is too narrow can cause some slippage.

Yeah its got the right belt and tension only slips when revved and PS not working at low RPM I think its a bad pump but not 100% sure...
