So I'm suffering from some vapor lock. It happened about 10 minutes into the drive. So I'm thinking of putting some insulation tape on the headers and on the fuel pump and fuel line. And maybe put an insulator gasket between the carb and manifold.
Other than that do you guys know of any other ways or tricks to prevent vapor lock.
The pump is bolted to the frame right where the mechanical pump was. On the top side of the frame.
I wrapped the line and covered the pump in a heat reflecting tape and took it for another rest drive. I didn't get any vapor lock that time. Ran it between 45 to 65mph for about 15 minutes. I wont be sure that the tape fixed the problem until i do some city driving I guess.
