Need to know what i will need to put a set of headers on my 74 vette with a 350 auto engine with factor air conditioning & where can i get the parts thanks.

 

What kind of headers, shorty or long tube? Do you want just headers, or a full exhaust? Do you want or need to keep a cat on the car? If you put long tube headers on, it will need new exhaust pipes, and a new y-pipe with a cat if you want to keep it on. If you go with a shorty header, some of them can connect directly to the stock exhaust pipe. As for the AC, you will need a new bracket to attach it to the head. Aslo, if your Alternator is mounted to the exhaust manifold bolts, it will need to be changed also. Alot of header kits come with a brakcet for mounting the alternaor though.

Everything needed can be bought at places like summit or jegs, and even places like Mid America, zip, and ecklers carries most of it.
