[Pics]Update On Engine!
Well here is the current state of my 468 project. I really can't do much of anything else to it until I get my heads back from the machine shop :mad....we're past 2 weeks now for a simple machining of the guides for teflon valve seals. Once I get the heads back....the engine will be complete. I just thought I would post a couple pictures because I haven't had time to update my web site.

Yea, that damn engine stand is sagging quite a bit now :lol:. I borrowed it from my uncle and it has had quite a few engines built upon it. I'm gonna call the machine shop today or tomorrow to check on the progress of the heads. For some reason I get the feeling that they had other more expensive projects come in and my heads got pushed to the side until they find some free time to do them :mad. My target date of having the engine in the car by Easter is pretty much shot in the butt. I still need to pull the 350 and paint up my engine bay all nice and pretty.

It's lookng good but you talk about having to pull the 350 and detail the engine compartment. What's stopping you? Can't you do this while waiting for the heads or do you need the vet for daily transportation? It will be a shame if you sit waiting for the heads then the motor sits waiting for you to do these other jobs.
Any way it is comming. The color of the block is hard to distinguish from my pictures.
How about contacting another machine shop and picking up the heads and going elsewhere.

Yea the pistons have a "slight" dome to them :D. With my 97cc closed chambered heads and these pistons I should be looking at somewhere around 10.5-11:1 compression ratio.

I really like the solid mounts too :yesnod:. About the digital camera, it's junk. The big block project has pretty much broke the bank as it is. So personally I can't afford better camera. However, I believe my dad is looking into buying a really nice digital camera, so maybe I'll be able to use it.

No, the 'Vette isn't a daily driver. In fact the 'Vette currently doesn't have a transmission, radiator or hood in it. I'm gonna call the machine shop and ask them how the heads are coming. If no progress has been made, I will be looking for another machine shop.

Looking good. What #oil pan is that Bence?
BTW, I've been checking out the Aluminum GM heads, 110cc chambers with 2.25I. Seem to flow pretty good.

That's a fine lookin' engine you got there. What fun, engine projects are great, even the frustrations. I can't wait to see more pictures....patience, young Skywalker, soon it will be complete.

Here's a picture of the stock Torker II intake port size. A gasket is placed over top to show how small the ports are.

What I'm finding with either the ovals or the rec it's hard to keep the HP peaks under 5500! The torque is great though---most of the time(cam dependent) it starts out well over 500 ftlb.
What exhaust setting are you using on the dyno for your engine? Large tube headers and open exhaust?
