Spectacular vendor experience! [VB&P]
Well, with the balljoints not fitting, I called VB&P to ask them for help. I realized at this point that they were local to me (relatively speaking, right around 50 miles). When I told them of the problem I was having, they were interested in seeing it, as they had gotten the same call previously, but not from anyone local.
I hoofed it on down there, as I REALLY want to be able to drive the car again, weather has been nice and all. I show the tech the balljoints and he brings out the ones they use. His, a perfect drop in fit, Ecklers, couldn't get it to go in with a hammer (not that we tried). So I asked them how much they would be, if they could give a club discount or anything else, since I am currently unemployed (anyone need a web programmer? really strong in Cold fusion, ASP, Visual basic, SQL server, etc). The tech went to go talk to the business manager, and they gave me the new balljoints in exchange for the non-fitting ones from Ecklers.
I have to say I am really impressed. Although it is their product, I didn't buy it from them, and definitely didn't buy the balljoint from them, but they still made it right, and got me back to where I can install these control arms. For the most part, sometimes its hard to get a company to make right on their own sales, but VB&P is really a class act for doing it on one of Ecklers sales.
I DEFINITELY will buy any of my future suspension parts directly from VB&P, no question about it.
Just wish I could have the time + money at the same time...
