Blowers?
You should consider using forged crank, rod, and pistons as well as a roller cam to avoid valvee float cause you will probably rev it high b/c of the high RPM HP. They can cost anywhere from 1500 up to 4000+ depending on style (roots or certifigual) and how much boost, and companies.
Other than that, no big deal really if you have the $. Overall I think the best choice for dollars/benefit with a carburated car is the procharger.

I've spent a while looking at them, and the only other really good choices are a Whipple, or Latham Axial (which is out of business)... And their prices are a lot higher.
With a blower the boost is always right there. At 1500 you can feel it. If you pull away from a light it is right there if you want. It is not rpm dependant but throttle positon dependant. No throttle no boost.
I spent about $6500 CDN for a 8-71 and linkage and 2 850 double pumper
carbs. I spent another 3 changing my high compression nitrous motor and heads over to 8.1 blower motor.
Blower motors are not as effected by cams and do not need to be spun as tight as superchargers
The image of a blower sticking through the hood and the whine sure makes people take notice.
My wifes bonneville has a blower and gives 8 pounds of smooth boost.
A supercharger is easy to hide but unless you are flogging it it doesn't help.
