81 Vacuum Storage Tank help
My 81 needs a new "coffee can". We checked the pressure coming in and out and the result was the can is leaking pressure. The result is my headlights won't lift and the vents won't blow properly.
The problem is I cannot find a Vacuum Storage Tank. Zip no longer carries them and I can't find them in Ecklers or Mid America.
Can someone help me out?
Thank you,
Chrissi

Take a T and put all 3 hoses together and recheck the operation of your headlights and vent controls with engine running ,vacuum can fool you.

speaking of the "coffee can".......isnt it just that, a can? or is there a check valve built into it?
If I want to check mine, where do I place the mityvac?

It is just a can , no valve. Block 2 ports and attach vac to 3rd port, see if it holds vacuum.

unless that can is leaking real bad the lights should still move up and down.i would look at all the vac lines first.
