On the horn contact eyelit there is a spring and a plastic retainer with a tab
on one side. There is a slot in the upper column for this tab to slide into.
If I put the tab in this slot the contact eyelit will be compressed
too short to reach the horn blowing ring. I assembled the contact by
sliding the tab into the slot to hold the contact in position. Once the
horn contact ring was installed, I used a paperclip to release the
plastic tab so the spring pushed the contact eyelit against the
horn ring. Is this correct or is there another way the horn contact
eyelit should be assembled?
Spring goes in first , then nail head first, then plastic retainer with tab in slot locking it in place.
Horn contact should reach.Did you cut the nail ?
