Default heater control lamp

I was rebuilding my heater control ,yesterday ,it had broke lens and plate, I noticed there was no lamp .there are cut wires for a lamp and with a test light work with the headlights ,what does the socket look like and where does it go ,I would like to see the controls at night thanks 79 vette

The lamp for the heater control is in the upper part of the center dash bezel.

The only wires in the dash that I can think of for a lamp would be one for the cig lighter...

I'll see if I can get you a pic.

those could be the wires for the gear selector indicator lamp. if its an automatic.

this lamp in the top of the dash bezel ,does it twist out to remove ,I see the screws ,do I need to remove them thanks again

yes it twist out to remove, the bulb is in a socket holder that just twist out, i've changed my bulb before by removing the glovebox inside , and reaching through. no need to remove the screws.
the pic from willcox upper pic is the socket holder base, that is mounted with the screws. lower pic is of the aimer lens, directs the light to the controls.
