Application is 68 Coupe. Engine is 468, intake is rectangular port casting number 3933163, heads are LS6 with 2.250/1.88 valves, cam is Lunati Hydraulic Roller 242/252 - .595”/.612”, carb is 800 double pumper, CR is 10.2:1, 4 spd, 3.70 rear. So what is the recommended exhaust set up for this combo? I HATE headers but realize this thing needs to breath.

Hedman makes headers w/ a 2" primary that should work just fine for you. From what I've read they provide more ground clearance than what Hooker makes. I got mine coated by JetHot and it's worth the extra $$$. They've been on the car for several years and still look new. Your combo should run like a scalded cat and, as you already know, will love headers. I use metal gaskets but after all these years I can't remember who makes them- maybe Percys. I've had no leaks and they can't be blown out like the cheap paper ones.
I hate headers too but didn't want to stifle my motor too much either. But I still didn't go full headers I went with something that would mount up to my allens stainless 2.5 chambered exhaust and still had 2" primaries. Allens also set me up with 2.5" mufflers from an earlier vette so I didn't plug it up there either. Again not optimum for HP but I like the fit better than full headers. To each his own.
