Pic is blurred, but yes I see the wet area around the fill plug. When you say noise what type of noise? What does it sound like? Does it occur when you turn corners, coming to or from a complete stop? If it is the diff start with checking the fluid/additive level (most simple) and fill with diff fluid/additive. If the leak originates from other areas of the diff things can get expensive, especially if you are unable to do the work yourself. Others will chime in. Good luck.

Turning does not effect the sound, coming to a stop ends the sound
i guess its sortof like a clunking noise.

why would there be a leak by the filler plug?
As Oldguard said, start simple by checking the fluid level. If it's low spend a few bucks and get 1 or 2 bottles of this and then top it off w/ the right gear fluid- http://www.drivetrainspecialists.com...duct-5229.html
While you're there use a good grease cleaner and clean up the diff so you can see if it's still leaking after you put the plug back in. I've seen slow leaks there before so it's not all that uncommon. If the noise persists a good specialist should be able to diagnose the problem. I've seen a lot of folks fix their problem with that additive though. Good luck.
took the differential out of my car letting drain, so should i go to my local chevy dealer and ask for the fluid from them?
im not sure if it was even my differential now... everything looks to be good.
Im also replacing the u joints in the half shafts... which i need help with =[
Do you know of an honest shop in your area that specializes in rear ends? Since you have the diff out of the car already you may as well have it looked at now. I had a vibration a few years back that I was troubleshooting and in the process I took the diff to a reputable shop. I'd done some drag racing since the diff had been gone through and wanted to make sure all was well. They checked for wear & tolerances and told me it was like new inside, filled it & added a bottle of the additive, and charged me something like $50-60 for the whole deal. I felt much better knowing the diff was healthy. Of course this requires an honest shop that won't try to sell you on a rebuild you don't need. If they do find something wrong you'll want to fix it anyway.
