Default Carpet

I'm looking to purchase a full carpet set for my 77. Looking at either Willcox or Eklers. Has anyone had any experience with either of this set? How do they compare in quality, fit and appearance? I'm also looking at door panels from both suppliers and looking for feedback on those as well.

Thanks

Not sure about Eckler's set. Mine is made by ACC which I bought from Willcox. Nice, cost less, no complaints.

I put Eckler's restoration grade carpet in my '68. Perfect color match and no problems.

I can get the a full carpet set from Willcox for 176.96 + shipping.
Corvette South on Ebay says:

"Note: This set is OEM quality and not the budget rubber/poly back version."

Is the Willcox and Eklers products lower quality then this carpet sold by Corvette South?

Willcox would be my choice! Great service. Ecklers has had numerous customer service issues.

Do yourself a big favor, buy from Willcox. They will stand behind everything they sell and always have time to answer questions.

There have been a couple of threads, just this past two weeks, on people complaining about Ecklers bad customer service, and also quality of some of their parts.

Thanks you all!

Captain-

We carry the pro choice carpet set but elected not to put it on the forum sale side of the site. We've always felt the ACC set is a bit superior in quality and have not had a back ordered carpet set from them in probably 5 years.

I feel sure you won't have a problem with the carpet set! Below I've posted a link where you can go on the site and verify the color before you order and should you decide to order from us just insert the color code in the details box.

Another suggestion to you would be to add our insulation kit under your new carpet that you got from Willcox Corvette. Since you already have the interior out, which is the hard part, now the easy part would be to install our Mad Mat kit. The kit comes with all pre-cut insulation pieces including the doors and a few extra pieces for any odds and ends. The thickness of the insulation will in no way interfere with the carpet install.

You will notice a decrease in road and tire noise as well as a reduction in cabin heat.

Check out the following thread........

Defintely go with insulation like MadVette suggests. Your feet will be much happier when they aren't getting burned .

Thanks, Greg!

I'm taking a break right now from cutting a couple of insulation kits that are going out this evening.

I did mine before I heard about you guys and used a roll of stuff that looks very similar to what you use. I had to do all the cutting and fitting though.

Willcox,

Is the Crpt05S the ACC carpet? Is that the set that you would recommend?

Thanks

Yes, you have the correct number this is the full ACC set.... And.. it's the same kit I have in three of my personal cars... (the cars without it.. well they are still apart).
