actually - if it would be a matching numbers 427/400 HP or 427/435 HP it would be interesting! To get this car back on the road you'll put at least 20k++++ into it (if you do most of the work yourself)
you guys laugh but i was outbid on that thing by $125! i have been looking for just such a car to make a vintage racer out of, but it seems some people think their project car is worth the restored car price. oh well, anybody ever run across an early shark like that for cheap, keep me in mind.
It looks like the reserve was not met - so it didn't sell! I am wondering what the reserve was.... Maybe he was expecting $5000 or more.... I have bought running and driving 69 Vette convertibles with perfiect frame, decent body and interior for $6000 - $7000...... To get this one running and driving you probably spend big $$$$$
Carl, I once saw a car in Hamburg, Germany - I guess it was a Chevrolet Citation or something like that - it had fur all over the OUTSIDE of the Body!!!!
It was a promotion car for a fur-house in Hamburg - Geezzz!!!!!

olivier, i wouldn't be surprised if your right. seems there are alot of people out there that think that just because they have twenty boxes of parts, they should sell for a completely 'restored' price! and a project car is worth more than a running c-4. only in corvette-world do people's brains get all screwed up like this. i have desperately been searching for a car like this just to go racing with it but both my cents and my sense has kept me relatively grounded in how much i'm willing to pay. i think these people really better come back down to earth. hell, look at that thing. what part of the car DOESN'T need work? figure for someone who wanted to restore a car like that it would take about $10-15k in parts and 500+ manhours to restore, at least! all i want to do is put a crate motor/5-speed in it, roll cage and racing seat and i'll even take it to earl schib. let the good times roll! oh well, guess i'll end up racing camaros!

Unforunately people imagine getting a high price just because it's a Vette... To pick up a Camaro in that kind of shape you probably have to spend less than $1000.....
I have seen a Vette in similar condition for sale a couple of years back. The seller was asking $7500.... Just 6 months earlier I bought a running and driving Vette with a perfect frame for $7000.... $500 more for a piece of junk.???? I almost started to  .......
