I recently ordered 15x8 TT II's with grey powder coated centers, these wheels are suposed to look like the old TT D wheels . Tony what back spacing do you have and what size tires have you installed? I am concerned about the tires sticking out past the body when installing 255x60's, with 3.75 back spacing rubbing should not be a problem. The 3.75 back spacing moves the tires out about .200. Any input from you Tony would help greatly.
I'm pretty sure 3.75 bs is what I have out back. The 255 60's come out to the edge but are still tucked under the wheel. I like the look and the tires don't poke out. I have a digital camera if you give me your email address I can try and take a snapshot tonight and send it to you. My car is stuck in the garage awaiting an engine swap so the pictures won't be perfect.
One note though I have 15 X 7's up front with 235 60's. so I can't vouch for the front wheel. I'm sure 15 X 8's would work but I liked the look on another forum members yellow vette so I copied it.
Thanks for getting back to me. I will keep my fingers crossed , it is going to be close. These wheels had to be special ordered from AR and cost a small fortune. The E-mail picture would be nice, here is my address (cdion@adelphia.net). Again thanks a lot. I plan on posting some pictures when I get them. I haven't seen a set in the flesh on any car, but they are the only wheels that will give you that TT D look without spacers.
I'll take some snapshots this evening. Good luck hopefully it will work out. I really like those wheels but I got the polished TT because I'm easily amused with shiny obects :D
