When it becomes time to replace rear bearings ( my parking brake pads are about gone also ) , I was wondering if I could just buy the completed Offset Assy and replace the stock units ?
will they clear springs and other factory components ? do you need shorter half shafts ??
Thanks Corey !
I was reading the post about the hassles of replacing the bearings and figured I could just buy the assembled ready to go units . They are a little pricey but I could do this myself and if I had to pay a shop to install the bearings it would probably cost about the same ...and I would have to trust them to know what they were doing...
I bought my offset TAs from Van Steel and had a local place do the bearings. It took an afternoon to install in the car. The only difficult step in the process might be if your trailing arm bolts are stuck. Mine popped right out.
Got my offsets from VanSteel, they have a "Limited Lifetime warranty unlimited mileage guarantee" (I would also add 'no hassle' to that guarantee) I haven't got the body back on so I have zero miles on mine so far... :-)
