so whats my next move
i've been noticing the last couple of seasons when i rev my 71BB 4spd in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear and let off it will jump out of gear. today it wouldn't go out of first until i did that same thing, then i had all gears again. this is obviously a trannie problem, am i looking at a rebuild and what would be the cost and i might as well get a new clutch while i'm at it huh... it is the original trans and the car has 106,000 miles so i've gotten its value out of it....

I think I would check to make sure the linkage arms are lined up and tightened on tranny in the nuetral position. Also check were the linkage rods attach to the linkage arms. Is your clutch catching at the top of it's travel (could just need adjusting) or you possibly have wear in the tranny. Just some ideas where to start looking at.
