It will take 8 to 12 hours depending on how rusted the parts.
More important is to find a shop the has done this work before. Hopefully there is a corvette shop in your area even if you have to drive a ways to get there.
Many times we have shipped arms to shops that then calls us a week later for more parts even though they were asked when they placed the order originally. A good corvette shop will have the extra parts on hand (shim kits, bolts, brake lines, strut rods or bushings, shock mounts, et.)

I see you are here in the northern IN area. If you are looking for a good shop, there is one in Mishawaka, IN called Mann's Corvettes. They are one of the best shops around for restoration work. I also heard they were featured as one of the top 150 shops in the nation in one of the last issues of Corvette Fever.

there are no corvette shops in fort wayne in area .there is one in decatuer.there are a lot of shops who say that they can do it but i would prefer some one who knows corvettes .i thought that a corvette shop may even be cheaper because they do them all the time they would do them faster .most shops want time and materials .if he does not do corvettes all the time it may take them longer.

Give Gary Ramadei in New Haven, CT a call (203-776-2813 x139), he does some really nice diff and TA work. I'm very pleased with the diff and TA rebuild he did for me.

Once you bolt in the trailing arm, the stuff around it may not look so good. There's an awful lot of "while I have it apart" in there.
