Beginning in January 1973, the factory began installing a 3 5/16" high extension onto the air deflector to aid in cooling big block cars with AC. Does anyone know where to get one? Dr Rebuild used to have them, but they're discontinued.
Are you trying to stay correct? If not, then a rubber seal for a gargae door could be cut to fit, or maybe one of those plastic "hold the trash bag open" plastic expandable stands.

No, I don't think the NCRS or Bloomington judges are expecting to see any parts from Home Depot on my car, but thanks anyway.
Wish I could help you, I bought the one I had on my car from Dr Rebuild. It is just rubber, about 1/4" thick, shouldn't be too hard to make yourself if you knew where to get some rubber like that. I just removed the one on my car a couple of weeks ago, and replaced it with a 1-piece pace car type splittler.
I bought mine from GM a "few" years back...
They were dirt cheap back then and are very functional.
The extension is made of what appears to be a two ply rubber very similar to light duty conveyor belt material. If someone had access to some of this type material, it wouldn't be difficult to cut a few out.
There are two 1" wide metal retaining strips, one on each side that extend from the outboard edge to the center of the spoiler which act as reinforcements on the backside of the spoiler that come with it as well. This would be very easy to replicate and could easily be replaced by some thin, flat fender washers.
I found one and sent it to friend for his 454. They are very rare parts.
A simular part is the same extension used on the 1979 L82 4spd , AC equipped cars. It is the same material , but has a split in the center so it curves better , it used the same rivits and two peices of metal strips for support at the back of the air dam. Might see one of these sooner than a 73-74 item. But they are hard to find as well. I don't have the part number anymore for the late 70's version.

Good luck... GUSTO
Wow, lot's of rivets in yours. NCRS Judging Guide says a total of 8. Looks like you almost doubled that. But I'm still jealous.
