How do you mechanically raise the window without taking everything out? I believe it is a wire issue not the motor. looking at replacing the radiator any suggestions on the best for cooling a 81? 3 or 4 pass alum, or stock

Well somethings possibly wrong inside and will have to be removed anyway to fix it so, now may be the time, good luck. Dewitts for radiator. Ed
On mine the pass side window went all the way down and would not come up. It had always been extremely slow, but then it finally got stuck.
I removed the door panel and could lift it up while pushing the button but there was a lot of resistence. I squirted motor oil along the channels that the rollers go up and down in, and lubricated everything else that moved or pivots.
After letting it soak I was able to get the window to go fully up/down. Re-lubed and it now moves really fast up/down. At some point I'll have to pull the drivers door panel and do the same.

My 75 if you take it all the way down it will stick on the way up I grab the glass and shift it form front to back and all the sudden it tracks up and the window closes .good luck
Door panel removal is pretty straight forward. Once removed and your in view of window motor listen to see if it is getting power or use test light. If not getting any power at motor check window switch with test meter. You can jump over from a hot wire to test motor, it may be a switch problem. If needing to replace switch this is good, as it is much less than a new motor.
If motor is running at all but window stuck down see if you can give it (window) a little careful boost. If that works lube should make a difference to tracks/mechanism.
If motor has gone bad then you will need to drill rivets out to remove motor and replace.
Dadgum things happen even to newer vets, C6 window is now making noise when going down. Sounds like finger nails on a chalk board.
Good luck.

Move the wires on the swithes around. if it works its the switch.

Sounds great, switch was the problem, and no new motor needed.
