There are two brackets for the BB AC compressor. One mounts on the front of the head and the other that mounts on the side of the head using the header/exh manifold bolts.
I have both of them, and might want to sell them since I may not be able to use them.
I have both brackets and will use the front bracket. Headers (vs. stock exhaust maniolds) will reposition the rear compressor bracket closer to the engine by about 5/8" to 3/4". This will cause alignment problems.
I could fab spacers I suppose. Or I was hoping the aftermarket had a bracket for use with headers. They do for SB but apparently not for BB.
Or, if others solved this problem another way, please enlighten me.
That A6 is a grizzly bear. Im not sure how much it weighs, but its heavvvvy...
I feel your pain on the modding of brackets, spacers etc. I am going thru the same issues. I am trying to bolt a SB R4 compressor bracket to a BB. It is not fun. Only had to have it welded and cut once thus far.
