I want to get headers installed on my 'Vette simply for sound...
I have a mild cam, some head work done (both by previous owner) and decent mufflers...sounds good the way it is, but I want it louder and "throatier" that brings me to headers....
Worth it for the $$$ ???

If thats what you want, then it is worth it. If you can stay cheap (I really like my headman's for example.. less than $200), then it is worth it. If you start looking at more expensive headers and approach the $400+ mark... then not so much. Dont forget you will have to have a little bit of fab work done (some cutting and welding on a collector), so that adds just a bit more cost if you cant DIY.
Kevin, what have you all done to your engine and exhaust? Curious what mods you made because your car sounds great. Nice wheel/tire combo as well. Awesome looking ride.

Haha, I think the phrase "lots" covers it pretty well.
383 stroker, .500/.500 flat tappet cam, 205cc aluminum heads, 10.2:1cr, headman headers, 18" glass packs, turned out before rear wheels.
