msd 6al wiring question
so im wiring up the 6al on my 76 and i have to hook up the red wire to the old coil+ which is also the ign key wire. i beleive ir is the pink wire but there is also a smaller brown wire that has a metal resistor of some sort inline and i cant find anything about it on the wire diagrams. im pretty sure i have it right with the pink wire but what then is this brown wire???

The brown wire from the HEI is connected to a in-line filter which is attached to another brown wire in the wiring harness. Disconnect the filter and connect the brown wire from the harness to the tach output of the 6AL box.
