What should I use for the intake valves? I plan on using the Ford style umbrella seals for the exhaust, since it is never open during a low pressure part of the 4-stroke cycle.
Brand, type, etc please? Oh, and I just bought Vizard's "How to rebuild your Small-Block Chevy" today.
I machined my heads for PC Teflon seals, and added umbrella seals for the intake. I found a set that just fit over the tops of the PC seals and inside the inner spring. The heads are Dart-II iron and the valve guides are just holes through, so the stainless steel valves are sliding on iron.
No oil consumption whatsoever in the past 20K miles, and no problems with sticking valves either.
