402 big block

402 big block
hello, a friend gave me a 402 big block, I'm not crazy about the small bore and the small displacement for a big block, does anyone know what the max bore is and what the displacement would be at max.........tks................Troy

not to sure,, if it can be stroked to 4 in 421cid, if you can bore it
stock bore 4 in stroek (454 crank) 421 cid,
bored .060 over, 4 in stroke (454 crank) 433cid
.060 over and stock crank 407.66 cid
so i would do a little home work because it might beable to take the longer stroke but im not to sure..
i might be able to handel more boring as well or less..
i dont know much about BBC's but that should give u some ideas

bored .060 over, 4 in stroke (454 crank) 433cid
.060 over and stock crank 407.66 cid

advice from my uncle.. never toss a old "small displacment block" untill you sure its worthless.
where do you live? might be intrested if i cant finde a good SB
