Yup thats right, theyre gone. Ive waited 3 weeks for em to turn up, and nothing. Gone. MIA. Local dealer said its too old (85) to get code from VIN for a new set. Any help would be great... Thanks in advance.
I lost mine awhile back and they had a chip... locksmith can make a new key with a chip by reading the computer.. it was 225.00 though but it can be done.. car was a 1985 Corvette and this was about 3 years ago...
Replaced the cylinder myself. It was a fairly easy job, just takes some patience, and being able to remember what came out and in what order. Pics might be in order. The telescoping lever at the end was the hardest to figure out. Choice between black and chrome finish on the new cylinder, and a couple bucks difference. Definitely worth renting out the steering wheel puller AND a tap set to clean out the bolt hole in the center. All the steel is fairly hard compared to the bolts and will strip if forced. All in all, it costed 20 Dollars and 3 hours and one six pack to complete. Not bad.

Six pack would worry me that I got it back together correctly.
