Differential vent loose fit

Default Differential vent loose fit
The plastic vent for the differential cover on my 66 is loose in it's hole in the differential cover. Is it normal to be loose? Is there a way to seal it a little better, or should I just replace it?

I posted this on the C2 forum, but since the parts are the same as C3's, I thought you guys might have some insight.

The vent should fit tightly in the hole. You could always put some RTV around the hole to hold the vent in. It's not under any stress so it should be fine.
