Its about time I started working on the vette again and brakes are the next item on the list. Its been a while since I bought em and figured I'd ask who you bought from, prices, and thoughts on quality/service.
Assuming you have the time, tear all 4 calipers apart and examine for having Stainless bore lining, hard to believe that these old car do NOT have the lining by this time....
so you can then buy O ring pistons and seals/kit from VBP.....
they work like a charm....and toss the springs from behind the pistons....
3 corvette restorations in the interim, two moves, and 2 rooms full of corvette parts, and I came up with three odd calipers. I'm not working with those. They probably won't even pass for cores.
I might as well go ahead and buy completed ones. New or rebuilt.
