Went to Route 66 Festival today and locked my drivers side door. When I returned , the door would not open! I had to enter from passenger side and even from inside I cannot open door . I have turned the lock **** back and forth and it appears to be unlocking the door ( from sound) but door remains tightly locked! Door panel cannot be removed with door closed either so now what?
roll the window all the way down and with a light, look down inside the door, to maybe see what has happened.
you may have to have someone pull on the inside door handle , while pushing or kick the door near the striker bolt.

There is a way to open the door when it is "lock-down" mode.
I have seen the photos posted here on the forum on where to push down on a tab of the latch mechanism that is the override feature to open the door. I know where it is ...because I have repaired many Corvettes with this problem. Do a search...or maybe somebody saved this post and will post its location. All you need is a flashlight and a long screwdriver ( or similar tool) to open your door.

Door is stuck, inside and outside handles no success
found your 'old' post and wonder if you still have access to which tab to use?
