another hardtop question
When I got my 70, it had a vinyl hardtop. I know it is not original. The car has no provision for a hardtop (the center bolt on the decklid and the two sidebolts).
I have two questions:
1. Are the two pins in the decklid the same from the hardtop to the softtop?
2. Do I really need to worry about getting the hardware for the two sidebolts?

The original hardtops are bolted on. The 2 side bolts which are 1/4 20 bolts. The other ones through the decklid are bolted on but some use the pins for the soft top and have good results. Mine is bolted on through the pin holes and the side bolts also. Are they needed? don't know. I do it just for a little more ridgidity.
