New emission regulations?
Is it true what the news says over here that the US government is considering following the European Community's new emission regulations? (All vehicles made after 1965 have to pass full annual emission testing)?

Nothing new that I have heard of. Per the Feds (the EPA) the emission standards apply to all cars all the time. The enforcement is left up to the states, thus you have some that test, some that don't test, and some that only test certin years. But as far as the EPA is concerned it is the law and all cars should meet the standard that they were certified for. :(

A lot of states have reduced the number of vehicles needing emissions tests and a few states, AZ being one of them, have bills proposing eliminating tests for older vehicles.
