1981 Base Timing Adjustment
I have searched the threads as well as other websites and I know the computer advance must be disabled before setting the base timing. The procedure is must like setting the base timing on TPI cars that I am more familiar with. My searches however have turned up some conflicting information. The first method says to disconnect the 4-pin connector from the distributor. The second method says to ground the D & E contacts on the ALDL connector inside the console. So which is it? Is it both? I do not have an AIM yet but its on my to-get list. Any help is greatly appreciated!

My car has an Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI unit on it. After much research I have discovered I am supposed to have a hand held computer with it. I do not have a 4-pin connector anywhere under the hood anymore. Anyone on here have any experience with the Pro-Flo units?
